78 an hour We are currently seeking a Bilingual Behavioral Support Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our residential team.
The Behavioral Support Crisis Intervention Specialist shall be responsible for using sound professional judgement and best practices to ensure quality case management services are provided to the service population especially in crisis situations while maintaining compliance with established state and federal standards.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in crisis intervention, and to provide support and assistance with problem-solving, decision making, and teaching/modeling daily living skills to Unaccompanied Children (UC).
Give advice; provide information or brief education regarding behavioral health problems within the scope of practice to UC's.
Teach emotional and behavioral skills necessary for the attainment of our UC's goals.
Utilize positive child management techniques, including verbal re- direction, and de-escalation, when handling behavioral issues and crises with residents.
Assist with improving, maintaining, and restoring functional skills, daily living skills, social and leisure skills, grooming & personal hygiene skills, meal preparation skills, language skills, and support skills; and/or medication education.
Provide services in one-on-one or in group setting as the services are behaviorally based and are adjunct to individual or group therapy.
Regularly communicate/consult with Clinical team regarding UC's behavior, progress, and treatment goals.
Work and relate to UC's with emotional disturbances and their families.
Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with the Lead Clinician, clinical staff, multidisciplinary teams, community partners, service providers, management, and staff to ensure the needs of the residents/children and program goals, objectives, and services are being met at the highest quality, work within the established ethical boundaries at all times.
Actively participate in exhibiting cultural awareness and sensitivity when interacting with children, parent(s)/guardian(s), staff, and the community.
Assists in translation of trainings as needed.
Drive a vehicle, when necessary, travel to other residential campuses, and attend trainings and meetings outside the agency, as necessary.
Skills/Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or other behavioral science equivalent.
Demonstrated ability and leadership through a minimum of three-years related experience in the field of child or family welfare services or as a Social Worker.
Must be proficient in the use of computers, including Email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing in English.
Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a physical examination; drug clearance; criminal background check and Child Abuse Index check.
Must possess a valid California driver's license with clean DMV history and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and be insurable by Trinity's insurance carrier.
Must be fluent in at least Spanish, verbal and written.
In all cases, he/she should fulfill the general requirements as established in the California Code of Regulations, Title 22.
Pay rate:
$20.
