Responsibilities:
As a Vital Registered Nurse (5 Days / Week), you will play a key role in supporting our school district clients.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Guide the administration of hearing and vision tests to students Travel to multiple schools within a District Provide health services to students and staff members Implement specialized healthcare procedures such as blood sugar testing, insulin administration, catheterization, blood pressure, oral suction, g-tube feedings, seizure procedures, turning and lifting routines, assistive apparatus, etc.
Work with students, faculty, and staff to ensure the student's day-to-day health needs are met Evaluate the health and well being of students and staff members Must maintain the confidentiality of information gathered while caring for students Build rapport with students with physical, mental, or educational disabilities Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and faculty Drive one's vehicle between different school sites for class and school visits Experience and
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) Audiometry & visual acuity certification Weekday (M-F) availability is an absolute requirement Strong attention to detail, superior work ethic and integrity, and interpersonal skills High level of energy and professionalism with a positive, team-oriented attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Reliable transportation and punctuality required Ability to handle behavioral issues Compensation:
Compensation range is between $38 and $43 per hour.
