Vehicle Description 1972 FJ40.
Very clean with that attention grabbing Freeborn Red exterior with a white top.
This FJ has been my passion for the last year and a half.
Strong later 2F (1977) 6 cylinder engine.
Valve cover & side cover gaskets were replaced.
Pertronix ignition & flamethrower coil were installed.
New battery.
Newly rebuilt 3spd transmission was installed.
Newly rebuilt steering gear box was also installed.
Tie rods & other front end components installed as well.
PO had a new clutch & flywheel as well as a new master cylinder, slave & brakes lines professionally installed.
California vehicle.
PO had rear box taken off frame & replaced any part that showed any signs of rust, including all 3 rear frames.
Undercoating was also applied.
PO repainted vehicle prior to starting restoration.
Replaced too many parts to list, and I have a lot of spare parts, including a brand new headliner.
All glass was changed including front windshield, all new rubber on doors & windows including window tracks and felt.
Brand new 31x10BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A radial tires, new Rancho shocks, replaced all running lights and added LED headlights.
New seat frames and seat covers.
Installed RetroSound radio.
Every part that was replaced has been factory OEM or the closest thing available.
Installed a new Weber carburetor.
I hate to let this classic head turner go.
But, I'm on to my next project.
This iconic Land Cruiser is ready for a new owner to take it to the next level!.
